Hay Memorial Library, located in Sackets Harbor, New York, announces an opening for a Library Manager. The Manager works 20 to 22 hours per week planning, developing, and implementing public library services, including programming for all ages.
Exceptional technology, communication, and social media skills are a must. Creativity, flexibility, and a positive community attitude are key, as well as the ability to establish effective working relationships with staff, colleagues, the Board of Trustees, the library system, and local government and community leaders. We encourage innovative program approaches “outside the box.”
Responsibilities include performance of library administrative, circulation, and operational tasks, as well as coordination of events, volunteer development, and participation in long-range planning and fundraising.
Minimum education requirement: Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university. Previous library experience is preferred.
Salary and Benefits: $18 an Hour
