10 Ideas for Play-Based Distance Programming

Incorporating play into library programming was a lot easier when programs took place in our buildings full of blocks and toys and craft supplies, but it can be done at a distance - and done well! Here are ten ideas that can be used on their own or in conjunction with your virtual programming:

Play-centric books: Use books about playing, pretending, or imagination in storytime or on a reading list.

Dress up: Invite your at-home participants to come dressed to match your virtual storytime theme or in honor of a special day.
