The Youth Services Section of NYLA is offering two scholarships for the 2018-19 Empowerment, Advocacy & Leadership Academy (EALA). This seven month program is specifically designed for youth services providers who are interested in developing their leadership skills for personal and professional advancement. The program consists of three full day in-person workshops and four live 90-minute webinars, and counts toward 24 hours of contuining education credits. The scholarship covers the $349 tuition cost only for two members of NYLA/YSS. Travel and lodging are not included in the scholarship. For more details, visit the YSS Empowerment, Advocacy and Leadership Academy page.

It's not too late to choose an online registration tool for your summer reading program! The New York State Library is offering ReadSquared as an option, and any NCLS library has the option to try Beanstack. Both options come at no cost to member libraries.
