With spring around the corner, we're about to enter into prime event season, and there's no better time to talk about engaging ways to get people to stop and talk to you at your table or booth. Luckily, the Teen Services Underground blog has some suggestions.

The St. Lawrence Child Care Council is hosting an Early Childhood Brain Development Conference on Tuesday, April 9 at SUNY Canton. The event is free of charge and will take place from 3:30-8:15pm. More details and registration info here

From Jbrary: "A 2015 study found that parents who repeated words to their 7-month-olds have toddlers with larger vocabularies. I particularly like this study because it stresses the quality of conversations not just the quantity of words we say. Another study done in 2013 showed that children learned more words when they read the same story repeatedly in a shared storybook setting. That’s not the only reason we read books over and over again with young children, but it does exemplify the learning benefits of repetition. "
