SUPERCHARGED STORYTIMES

In case you missed it, WebJunction is offering a free, self-paced online course led by a team that includes early literacy expert Saroj Ghoting. According to the class description, the course consists of "six modules, which include videos, readings, activities, and reflection questions. The course provides training in how to intentionally apply research-based practices to boost early literacy in young children attending library storytime."

IN THE NEWS

Author Shannon Hale asks in a recent Washington Post article, "What are we teaching boys when we discourage them from reading books about girls?" Thanks to Meghan at Lowville for sending this my way to share with you.
