RA for your Friday (Early Edition!)

I'm off to the NNYLN Annual Fall Meeting tomorrow, so I won't be around to do my morning RA roundup - but there's no reason for you to go without, is there? Let's do this thing.

First things first, the November Library Reads list has been announced, so be sure to print one out for yer corkboard.

In other exciting news, OverDrive just kicked off its fall Big Library Read with the YA novel The Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett, by Chelsea Sedoti. Patrons will have unlimited access to the e-book and e-audio from now through October 26. No lines, no waiting! Tell everyone!

Sarah Jessica Parker has selected the next ALA Book Club Central title, and it's Exit West, by Mohsin Hamid. If this one flew under your radar, be sure and get your library a copy today!

The MacArthur 'Genius' Grant winners have been announced, Early Word has a roundup of film and TV adaptations, and Booklist is putting this month's spotlight on the arts.

Finally, #FridayReads: I just started The Vanderbeekers of 141st Street, and I am reminded to make more time for middle grade fiction in my life. Happy reading!
