Welcome, summer! Time to break out the sunblock (or the aloe, depending on how your sunblock process has gone) and the lists. We've got picks from People, Time, Lit Hub, Town & Country, Vulture, and Barnes & Noble and June picks from Amazon, Bustle, CrimeReads, Shondaland, SBTB, Gizmodo, and Tor.
And speaking of summer reads, NCLS has an e-book request form for patrons to request children's and YA titles this summer. Summer reading is all about supporting self-selected voluntary reading, and thanks to generous donations, NCLS is able to fulfill requests on a much larger scale this year. The link to the form is also available on the summer reading page of the Virtual Branch - share widely!
Finally, #FridayReads: Lately my reading life consists almost entirely of the local, regional, and national news, but I've also been reading Simon the Fiddler, by Paulette Jiles. I'm also staring at the stack of library books that have been in my house since St. Patrick's Day thinking, I should really read those before they have to go back. Perhaps today's the day, Sun Down Motel. Happy reading!
