New month, new lists!

Barnes and Noble highlights the best Fiction, Mysteries, Thrillers, Biographies, and History, while Tor rounds up a list of sci-fi titles being released this month. In romance news, you can check out the new releases on SBTB, or head over to All About Romance for their picks. LitHub has 15 Books You Should Read This May, and The Millions gives us their most anticipated reads of the month. (For more best of month lists, head on over to Book Pulse.)

May is Mystery Month over at Booklist; meanwhile, CrimeReads has 11 Crime Books You Should Read in May and Essential True Crime Books of Spring.

Looking ahead to June, the Indie Next titles are out, and of course, June is audiobook month! If you're looking to refresh your shelves, Paste has the Best Audiobooks of 2018 (So Far), Library Journal has new releases, and the New York Times features bestselling audio in fiction and nonfiction.

For those who have been weeding (or are about to weed) their adult nonfiction collections, why not fill in some of the gaps with some shiny new nonfiction from Library Journal?

In e-book news, SBTB has an entire post on Libby, the new and improved e-book reading and listening app from OverDrive. In case you're not that familiar with the app, or aren't sure how to explain to patrons the benefits of Libby over the traditional OverDrive app, this post has got you covered.

In local news, the Jefferson-Lewis Library Association is hosting an author event on May 8, and Flower Memorial Library is hosting an event with WPBS on May 11 to launch The Great American Read.

Finally, #FridayReads: Despite a full nightstand, I'm taking a break this weekend. There will probably be yardwork. Happy reading!
