RA for your Friday 3/6/20

New month, new lists! We've got picks from Amazon, Entertainment Weekly, The Millions, Bustle, and Time. For all you genre fans, we've got sci fi picks from Tor, romance picks from SBTB and Goodreads, and of course, crime reads from CrimeReads.

In current events, the topic on everyone's mind this week is the coronavirus, and beyond keeping up with the latest news updates, your patrons may be looking for books that help them better understand pandemics. Check out these reading lists from The Week and Book Riot.

Booklist is putting a spotlight on the environment and sustainability, and they've also got a reading list about women in politics - just in time for your International Women's Day display.

In awards news, the Audies have been announced! There's no denying the increasing popularity of audiobooks, and if you're looking to get more familiar with what's out there, the Audies are a great place to start.

Finally, #FridayReads: I've had two holds come in this week - The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James and The Quilter's Homecoming by Jennifer Chiaverini - and it will definitely be a mood-based decision as to which one I start first. (Any other mood readers in the house?)  In my earbuds is The Dutch House by Ann Patchett, and yes, I am enjoying Tom Hanks reading me a story. Happy reading/listening!
